The Virginia Police Department works closely with other Law Enforcement agencies such as the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, the Eveleth Police Department, and the Gilbert Police Department.  We also coordinate our efforts with other law enforcement agencies or support organizations in need of assistance.

The Virginia Police Department was established in 1895 in tandem with the incorporation of Virginia as the Iron Range’s first designated city.  Since then, we have made every effort to protect and serve all of Virginia’s citizens and visitors to the utmost degree, and encourage participation with the community through programs such as National Night Out, D.A.R.E and our newest program the Community Outreach.
