Private Property Traffic Accidents
Generally, reports should not be taken when a traffic collision occurs on private property unless there is an injury or fatality, a hit-and-run violation or other traffic law violation involved. The Polce may provide assistance to motorists as a public service, such as exchanging information and arranging for the removal of the vehicles.

Every driver in a crash involving $1000 or more in property damage, injury or death must complete the State required Minnesota State Accident form. This form may also be picked up at the City of Virginia Police Department
Once completed, this form must be submitted to the MN Driver & Vehicle Services (DMV):
